When I was 2 we lived in Portsmouth, Virginia. I pulled an iron on my head and had to go to the Doctor. I don't remeber this but it was the first in a series of head trauma experiences. When I was 4 we lived in Cordova, Alaska. There weren't any TV stations in Cordova. When I was 5 we lived in Cordova, Alaska. The house next door to us burned down. When I was 6 we lived in Arlington, Virginia. My best friend was Jimmy Obert. We were wrestling in my backyard and I hit my head on the corner of our concrete steps. I had to get 4 stitches. When I was 7 we lived in Arlington, Virginia. I lost my mittens at the school playground on a weekend. They were in the lost and found on Monday. When I was 8 we lived in Arlington, Virginia. My dad traded our Impala for a Chevy truck with a camper; we were moving soon. When I was 9 we lived in Anchorage, Alaska. I fell through the ice on a creek; it was just up to my waist and I was real close to the house. When I was 10 we lived in Anchorage, Alaska. I took a cross country skiing class. I was playing football with some friends in my front yard and hit my head on the mailbox post. I had to get stitches. When I was 11 we lived in Anchorage, Alaska. I made parachutes for my GI Joe out of trash bags. One day the chute didn't open and GI Joe slammed into the ground. His arms, legs and head popped off. When I was 12 we lived in Hurst, Texas. On the way from Anchorage to Texas I saw the biggest dragonflies ever. I found out later that they were hummingbirds. I had my first experience of school being cancelled due to snow. When I was 13 we lived in Bedford, Texas. I picked up rocks out of our yard and pushed them in a wheelbarrow to a lot a couple blocks away that wanted rocks and fill dirt. When I was 14 we lived in Hurst, Texas. I learned how to ride a unicycle and got one for my birthday. I still have it and can still ride it. The entire 14th year of my life I was worried that my pattern of head trauma every 4 years was going to occur again; it didn't. When I was 15 we lived in Hurst, Texas. I got my first job working as a busboy at Goodner's Steak House. I rode a wheelie on my bicycle for 10 blocks. When I was 16 we lived in Hurst, Texas. I got my second job working as a porter at Hurst Bowl. When I was 17 we lived in Haltom City, Texas. I got my first car, a 1970 Pontiac 2 door; gold with a black vinyl top. When I was 18 we lived in Haltom City, Texas. I got engaged. October 21, 1979 I bowled a 299 on lanes 15 and 16 at Wedgewood Bowl. When I was 19 we lived in Haltom City, Texas. I called off the engagement. I got a job working at the Montgomery Ward distribution center in Fort Worth. When I was 20 we lived in Haltom City, Texas. I was working for Commercial Metals, Hutchison Division in Fort Worth. I weighed scrap aluminum. When I was 21 we lived in Haltom City, Texas. I celebrated my birthday at Angelo's BBQ in downtown Fort Worth. When I was 22 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I got my first apartment. When I was 23 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I traded my 1980 Ford Futura and it's payments for my grandma's 1976 Nova. When I was 24 I lived in Euless, Texas. I became the sound man and roadie for Torpedo X. I drank a Guiness for the first time. I bought a Honda ATC250R. When I was 25 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I road my bicycle from Little Rock to West Plains, Missouri and spent Easter at a high school friend's house. When I was 26 I lived in Haltom City, Texas. I rolled my 1986 Mazda P/U. I rolled it but couldn't keep it lit! HAAAAAAAAAAhahahahaaha!!!!!!!!!! When I was 27 I lived in Haltom City, Texas. I went kayaking on the Guadalupe. When I was 28 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I bought my first computer, an IBM PS/2 25 with a mighty 8086 processor, 640k RAM and a gigantic 30MB hard drive. When I was 29 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I rode my bicycle from Corsicana to Tyler to Navasota to Bastrop. When I was 30 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I built my first computer, a 386 with 1MB of ram and an enormous 40MB hard drive. When I was 31 I lived in Hurst, Texas. I bought a motorhome to fix up in my spare time. When I was 32 I lived in Arlington, Texas. I traded my motorhome for a Suzuki Samurai. When I was 33 I lived in Arlington, Texas. I saw Jose Canseco at Blockbuster. When I was 34 I lived in Arlington, Texas. I sold my 1984 Honda ATC 250R 3 wheeler that hadn't been started or ridden in 6 or 7 years. When I was 35 I lived in Arlington, Texas. I celebrated my birthday being hauled around in a limo that a friend rented for the occasion. We went to a pub on Greenville that sold beer in yard glasses. Since a yard of beer was just way too big I had 2 half yards instead. When I was 36 I lived in Arlington, Texas. I took a job with a startup company in Denver. I drank my first Starbucks coffee on a crowded downtown Denver patio when it was 36 degrees outside. When I was 37 I lived in Garland, Texas. I started my current job. I shared a house with 2 friends, the first time I ever had roommates. I love my friends but hated living with them. When I was 38 I lived in Plano, Texas. I moved into an apartment with the biggest patio I ever had. When I was 39 I lived in Plano, Texas. I bought my current car, a 2000 Ford Taurus. When I was 40 I lived in Plano, Texas. I threw my own 40th birthday party. It was the first time my family ever saw me sing karaoke. I got engaged. When I was 41 I lived in Plano, Texas. I got married. When I was 42 I lived in Princeton, Texas. My wife and I bought the house I live in now. When I was 43 I lived in Princeton, Texas. I got divorced. When I was 44 I lived in Princeton, Texas. I worked, I went home, I went to a friend's house to watch the Soprano's over and over and over and over. When I was 45 I lived in Princeton, Texas. I joined CrossFit.
